Exeter Storage Tank

Starting 5/08/26 the SMG Water Cooperative began the process of taking the Exeter storage tank offline for maintenance purposes. Customers in Merritt, Exeter and Bluffs areas of the system may see some discoloration of water for the next couple of weeks. This discoloration is caused by the reversing of the flow in the system. The water is still safe and meets all IEPA regulations.
We will work diligently to get the storage tank back online as soon as possible.
For the ladies on the system please look at your water before doing laundry to avoid discoloration of your clothes.
